Our team of qualified and experienced civil engineers - of which 8 are registered with SACPCMP as Professional Construction Managers - and administrative staff are always on hand to ensure that our commitments to our clients are met safely, on time and on budget. Our extensive portfolio of work and client list, is testament to our commitment to quality with over 1200 successfully completed contracts throughout KwaZulu-Natal and Swaziland.
Leomat Construction is registered (104992) with the Construction Industry Development Board, and computes as a CIDB 9CE – able to do government work of unlimited value. This rating is the highest designation civil engineering rating achievable for a construction company

Leomat Plant Hire (Pty) Ltd operates an extensive fleet of over 250 units of heavy construction / earthmoving equipment to meet our clients varied needs. Leomat hires throughout KZN, as well as to mining houses nationally throughout South Africa. In order to supply the best to our clients, our fleet is maintained to manufacturers specifications in our in-house specially equipped workshop facility. Our fleet is regularly upgraded and selected plant is offered for sale.
Leomat Plant Hire is registered (108342) with the Construction Industry Development Board, and computes as a CIDB8CE. The Leomat Group computes as a CIDB9CE with Leomat Plant Hire and Leomat Construction. This rating is the highest rating designation a construction company can achieve.
The Leomat Eyesizwe Joint Venture is an unincorporated joint venture formed in 2021 between Leomat and Eyesizwe, two local Richards Bay companies in South Africa. The joint venture was established specifically to undertake works at RBM (Richards Bay Minerals), a mining company operating in the area.
Leomat is the lead partner in the joint venture, bringing its expertise and experience to the partnership. Eyesizwe, on the other hand, is a 100% Black-owned Exempted Micro-Enterprise (EME), representing the interests of the local communities associated with RBM's operations.
Leomat and Eyesizwe are focused on seizing opportunities for growth and expansion. The collaboration allows both companies to combine their resources, knowledge, and capabilities to successfully undertake projects at RBM and surrounding areas. Leomat's leadership in the joint venture ensures that the project is guided by their experience and expertise.
Additionally, the directors of Eyesizwe represent all four local communities associated with RBM's operations. This demonstrates the joint venture's commitment to local engagement and community involvement. By involving representatives from the communities, the joint venture aims to ensure that the interests and concerns of the local population are considered and addressed throughout the project.
